Veneto Regional Wines

Veneto’s best-known denominations include Prosecco DOC, centered around Treviso and Conegliano-Valdobbiadene; Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, a rich red made from partially dried grapes; and Soave DOC, a crisp white from Garganega grapes near Verona. Other important styles include Bardolino, Valpolicella Ripasso, and lesser-known regional IGT blends.

Veneto’s producers are increasingly focused on sustainable viticulture and DOC/DOCG quality enhancement. Recent years have seen renewed emphasis on terroir expression and indigenous varieties, alongside innovation in sparkling wine production that keeps the region central to Italy’s global wine reputation.
